Hamburg, NY, is a centrally located suburb of Buffalo situated along the shores of Lake Erie and is just a short commute from downtown Buffalo. Part of the “Southtowns” of Erie County, the Town has a population of approximately 56,000 and was aptly named after the city of Hamburg, Germany. The Town is bordered by Lake Erie to the west and Eighteen Mile Creek to the south.

The Town of Hamburg is home to many popular events throughout the year, including the annual Erie County Fair which began in the 1800s and is one of the largest county fairs in the U.S.  Located along popular “Route 5” which provides a breathtaking view of Lake Erie is Woodlawn Beach State Park, just one of many local area parks offering year-round activities, and The Seaway Trail, a National Scenic Byway. Throughout the year there is a Farmer’s Market that runs from May-October, along with many local shopping, dining, and entertainment attractions. Essex Homes has built many homes in and around the Hamburg area and offers a high-end rental community within The Villas at Brompton just off McKinley Parkway.
